New to Bikram Yoga? Is this your first class at one of our Paris studios?
Don’t worry! just follow these tips.

Before your class

  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the class starts.
  • Don’t be late! A Bikram Yoga class lasts 90 minutes and is designed to be practised in full, from beginning to end.
  • It is best to practise on a light stomach. We recommend allowing around 2 hours for digestion before class.
  • Wear light, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. It gets hot — very hot!
  • Drink plenty of water before and after class. Bottled water is also available to purchase at the studio.
  • You must practise on a yoga mat with a thick terry towel. Microfibre towels and sarongs are not suitable. Mats and towels are available to buy or rent at the studio.
  • You don’t need to be flexible to practise yoga — yoga will help you become more flexible!
  • Classes last 90 minutes.
  • If you are undergoing medical treatment, have an injury, or are pregnant, please inform the teacher before the class begins.
  • Please avoid wearing strong perfume or fragrance.
  • Dress as lightly as possible — the temperature is tropical!
  • Be prepared to sweat — this is hot yoga!

During your class

  • No shoes, flip-flops or bags are allowed in the yoga room. Please use the lockers provided. You only need your mat, towel and bottle of water.
  • Please remain silent in the yoga room and the surrounding areas.
  • Stay focused and let the teacher guide you. Everyone practises the same series of 26 postures at their own pace and according to their own level.
  • You can start drinking water after the first 30 minutes of class. We strongly recommend arriving well hydrated.

After your class

  • Well done — you can be proud of yourself!
  • Take a shower in our changing rooms.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat well.
  • Practising three times a week is ideal to experience the full benefits of Bikram Yoga.
